This year marks the fourteenth season for WA Police’s anti-arson Strike Force Vulcan, with 178 bushfires investigated and 44 people charged.

Acting Detective Senior Sergeant Chris De Bruin told Julie-anne Sprague the success of the program has been boosted by stronger cooperation with the Department of Fire and Emergency Services, among other developments.

“It’s really allowed us to hit the ground running,” Sergeant De Bruin said.
