‘Strictly for grown ups’: Adult-only travel is on the rise
A new trend is on the rise where children are banned from some resorts and cruise ships, catering to parents and couples without children who are looking to book kid-free holidays.
Catherine Best, travel writer for traveller.com.au told Oliver Peterson on Perth Live that this shift is due to couples wanting more experiential travel.
“They’re looking for those gourmet escapes and adventure type holidays and these generally are things you don’t do with kids,” she told Oly.
“Obviously there is that luxury component as well, and kids, love them to bits but it is nice having a break without your kids dive bombing in the pool and knocking your cocktail over at the bar.”
