The news broke on Thursday morning that one-punch victim Danny Hodgson was handed a legal notice from debt collectors, where his mother Nicola told 6PR Breakfast she was “absolutely gobsmacked.”

6PR Breakfast later contacted the State Government’s office in an effort to appeal the $1,006 bill that was left with Danny.

Health Minister Amber-Jade Sanderson contacted St John WA once they became aware of the collection notice issued to Mr Hodgson.

St John has now stated that “Mr Hodgson does not need to pay this invoice.”
