American broadcaster Joe Rogan has responded to backlash he’s received from Spotify artists surrounding COVID-19 misinformation on his popular podcast.

US correspondent Amelia Adams told Gareth Parker on 6PR Breakfast the music streaming service, which obtained exclusive rights to ‘The Joe Rogan Experience’ podcast in 2020 for US$100 million, has agreed to add content advisories before podcasts in response to concerns raised by musicians and content creators including Prince Harry and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex.

The standoff made headlines last week when Neil Young, Joni Mitchell and Crazy Horse and E Street Band member Nils Lofgren pulled their music from the platform over alleged COVID misinformation on Rogan’s podcast.
