Space race just went nuclear

NASA is fast-tracking plans to build a nuclear reactor on the moon by 2030.

ANU astrophysicist Brad Tucker explained to 6PR Breakfast hosts Millsy and Karl that this is realistic, noting the USA is competing with China and Russia, who aim for the same by 2035.
He added, “It kind of seems science-fictionary, but there are a number of projects already being developed and worked on to do exactly this.”
