Dockers players are just some of the many footy players being targeted by horrific online abuse and the AFL are calling for it to stop.

Former Australian intelligence officer and homeland security expert Shane Britten will be speaking to players to help them cope with the online abuse.

He is sharing an app which uses Artificial Intelligence to remove hateful comments.

Mr Britten told Oliver Peterson on Perth Live the abuse needs to stop.
