Football legend Craig Foster says the Socceroos’ future is exciting, despite their elimination from the FIFA World Cup after a heartbreaking loss to Egypt.

Foster told 6PR Weekends host Chrissy Morrissy that their performance will drastically improve over the next four years.

“There’s a lot to process and to talk through and talk about and to learn from, but it was a good campaign … This new young generation has been brought through, they’ve come through, they’ve done fabulously well. That’s the great news for us, in four years’ time and eight years’ time we’re going to be much, much stronger,” he said.
