An influential technology group called The Consumer Technology Association has forecasted the price of smartphones to surge 31 per cent and laptops and tablets to increase 34 per cent in the near future.

Tech Guide Editor Stephen Fenech spoke to 6PR Radio Perth Live presenter Oliver Peterson and said he believed the mid-tier phone market was being energised as a result.
