Sleep cycle a cause for concern

A new study that tracked 88,000 people’s sleeping schedule found that irregular sleepers are at greater risk of suffering dementia.

Monash University Associate Professor Matthew Pase told Jo McManus those with poor sleep regularity are 50% more likely to be diagnosed with dementia.

“We found that those people that had more irregular sleep wake patterns had a higher risk of going on to getting dementia within the next seven years”
