Simpson faces the facts
Adam Simpson has refused to shy away from the Eagles troubles in front of goal and on the road.
The West Coast Eagles kicked 18.16 in their win against Collingwood on the weekend with Josh Kennedy booting the most behinds in his career with 3.6 one of the major culprits.
Their recent record away from home even less favourable with only one win against end-of-season top-eight sides since 2012.
That win against Richmond in round 12 last season and since then West Coast have failed to win away from Domain Stadium with five losses and a draw.
‘I can’t shy away from it and we’re not shying away from it,’ Simpson said.
‘Winning away is difficult. We’re exploring different things about trying to re-invent the wheel.
‘We want to play our brand and play our way. If you go down close to that you’re not satisfied but at least you know you had a go.
‘I think what’s happened the last three or four times we walk away from the game thinking we could have played better.
‘To not show up sometimes, that’s the big thing for us we want to have a really good crack this week.’
