Mr van den Berg has been working tirelessly to address the glut of almost-unlivable properties in Australia’s capital cities, with the worst of the worst listed on a new, popular website.

“Nine out of ten times the listing photos are from the time that the property was last sold, which could be ten or 20 years ago, so people aren’t getting an adequate view of the rental properties they’re applying for,” Mr van den Berg said.
