Some experts are concerned there’s an increase in the number of processed meat-based snacks being marketed as ‘high protein’ and good for kids’ lunchboxes.

They say processed meat is classified by the WHO as a Group 1 carcinogen (known to cause cancer) and shouldn’t be marketed towards kids.

But Nutritionist Fiona Kane told Oly Peterson on Perth Live focusing on moderation is more important than totally cutting out foods.
