Staltari confirmed he was an invited speaker, telling 6PR Mornings host Simon Beaumont that while it was an unusual experience, it was vital for the Liberals to voice their opposition.

“What you heard was some of the students who were more radical and who frankly a lot of them weren’t there really to talk about the merger, giving their view on other issues”, Staltari said.
