The Walkley Foundation has revoked their nomination of the Seven Network’s Bruce Lehrmann interview following the revelation the media organisation offered to pay Lehrmann’s rent for a a year in exchange for exclusive access.

The Walkley board unanimously voted to to deem the interview not eligible in the Scoop of the Year category.

Entertainment reporter Peter Ford told Millsy and Lachy on 6PR Breakfast Seven did divulge they were paying some of his expenses but were’nt clear about the extent of the payments.

“They always word it in a very sneaky way, and their paid indirectly… you really have to be crystal clear with how these things work,” Mr Ford said.
