A West Leederville settlement agent has been banned from ever working in the industry again, for stealing close to $30,000 from a client.

A Consumer Protection investigation found Shannon Marie del Valle, trading as Real Asset Conveyancing, transferred a total of $29,030 out of the agency trust account and into accounts she controlled.

Commissioner for Consumer Protection Trish Blake told Oly Peterson, they discovered the transfers when looking into reports that a number of settlements hadn’t been finalised.
