The scene of a serious crash in Burswood is now clear after a car smashed into two poles, and rolled onto a median strip.

A man in his 60s was the only person inside the Mitsubishi Triton that left the road at Great Eastern Highway outside the casino complex early this morning.

One of poles ended up on top of the car while the other – a traffic light – was destroyed into several pieces.

Major crash detectives were at the scene for several hours, leaving with evidence bags – while the wreckage of the car has now been removed and the driver rushed to RPH.
