A woman is fighting for life after a botched surgical procedure at St John of God Mount Lawley.

Her artery was accidentally severed during a routine gynaecological procedure on Friday.

She remains in Royal Perth Hospital in a critical but stable condition after receiving an emergency transfusion.

It’s the second surgery blunder to occur at a St John of God private hospital in Perth in three weeks.
