There are calls to scrap the report card because they don’t provide meaningful feedback.

I don’t think we just need to throw them out straight away, but I think we need to rethink whether or not the way we do reporting at the moment is fit for purpose,” Glenn Savage, associate professor at UWA told 6PR Breakfast.

Duncan called in to tell Steve and Baz was his report card said at the end of year four:
“Just when we thought he’d hit rock bottom, he started digging” 

So, report cards can have an impact.
