Some Australian schools are getting rid of school captains and prefects because they want to let kids know everyone could be a leader.

But parenting expert Di Wilcox disagrees with the move.

“For the higher years, we need true leaders, we need children who are positive role models in the playground for others,” she told 6PR Breakfast.
