Stephen Ferguson, chief executive of the Australian Hotels Association, told 6PR Mornings host Simon Beaumont that regional tourism drawcards will bear the brunt of the changes.

“So our argument to the government is that they’re trying to ease the pain on metropolitan communities, but increasing the pain on far-flung regional communities, and we’re just saying it’s simply not fair”, Ferguson said.
