A Perth driving instructor is starting his own safety course for 15-year-olds after realising instructors aren’t taught about road safety to pass on to potential drivers.

Dave Butcher is running his first course at the Perth Motorplex on January 19th and planning more courses in the future with the Police, fire brigade and St John’s involved in the event.

‘It’s aimed at pre-learners, it’s really to give them a little bit of an education about the pitfalls of driving and bad habits. And it’s to encourage them,’ Mr Butcher told Simon Beaumont on 6PR’s Afternoons show.
