RUMOUR JUICED: Surprise twist at McDonald’s drive-thru

Millsy & Karl

Has the supply shortage that’s left many a supermarket aisle bare also hit the production line of the world’s biggest fast-food outlet, or is it just a case of ‘computer says no’?

Listener Val Encia told the 6PR Breakfast ‘Rumour File’ on Wednesday that McDonald’s has stopped selling medium and large-sized orange juices, before another caller Courtney also rang to confirm the news.

6PR sent roving reporter Anne Naylor on a undercover McMission to the studio’s closest Maccas in Highgate on Wednesday morning, where she managed to successfully order a large OJ and perhaps uncover the real reason McDonald’s is not serving large orange juices.

“I’m currently sipping on a delicious, large orange juice,” she told stunned host Gareth Parker on 6PR Breakfast.

“When I pulled at the drive-thru I noticed that I was actually paying for a large bottle of water.”
