RUMOUR FILE: Not so rapid transit

Regular John Hughes Hyundai Rumour File tipster Gabby Cabby rang Millsy and Karl on 6PR Breakfast earlier this week to describe Bayswater Train Station’s brand-new “rapid transit escalator”.

We here at 6PR were pumped at the thought of being rocketed up to the train platform, but then disappointed to learn that three days in to the station’s operation, it’s already out of commission.

6PR Reporter Jessica Shackleton investigated the transport system/amusement ride herself, only to learn the sad news.

“I was looking forward to possibly getting a facelift without paying a premium,” Ms Shackleton said.

We can only hope it comes back online soon.
