Perth school kids have been left devastated after being told they were to receive principal’s awards at their school assembly, only for it not to happen.

Parents, unable to attend the ceremony due to COVID, sat through the online assembly waiting for their kids to appear, while the school believed they had read an email it had sent informing them their children were not receiving the awards that day.

A computer error has been blamed for the issue.
