‘Penny Sillin’ told the John Hughes Rumour File there is a shortage of the widely-prescribed Amoxicillin antibiotics at pharmacies across Perth, which was later confirmed by the WA Pharmacy Guild on 6PR Breakfast.

WA Pharmacy Guild president Andrew Ngeow told Breakfast stand-in hosts Julie-anne Sprague and Mark Gibson there are some shortages that will be rectified soon.

“It’s an Australia-wide and worldwide problem … we do believe with the information we have that the supply chain is catching up,” he said.
