RUMOUR CONFIRMED: Perth-based QC drafted into Novak Djokovic’s legal team

A Perth-based leading criminal lawyer has been sounded out to provide world No. 1 tennis player Novak Djokovic legal advice.
Tom Percy QC got the call from the Djokovic camp on Thursday, remarkably after it was reported they could not attain a Melbourne-based lawyer.
It comes after the Serbian tennis star had his visa cancelled by the Australian Border Force, and was forced to spend the night in immigrant detention at a Melbourne hotel.
A last-minute reprieve in the Federal Circuit Court halted deportation proceedings until at least Monday.
6PR Breakfast have spoken to Mr Percy and he has confirmed that he has been engaged by Novak but cannot comment further at this stage.
