Dib Dib Dib rang the John Hughes Rumour File on Thursday, saying a local Scouts group had been closed down due to concerns relating to the “management of the group in line with Scouts Australia national policy”.

Scouts WA later confirmed the temporary closure of the small group in Morley on Monday.

“We have an overarching duty of care to Youth Members and in this situation, the needs of our Youth Members take priority,” they said in a statement to 6PR Breakfast.

“Scouts WA follows policy and procedures in a positive manner consistent with Scouting’s Promise and Law, Code of Ethics, Code of Conduct, National Child Protection Policy, Privacy Policy and legislated requirements.”
