ESPN has confirmed ‘Howzat’s’ assertion on the John Hughes Rumour File that former West Australian wicketkeeper Ryan Campbell is the new head coach at county side Durham in England.

The appointment of the 50-year-old, who suffered a heart attack earlier this year, ends a successful six-year stint at Netherlands that culminated in an impressive display at last month’s T20 World Cup in Australia.

“He’s off to Durham on a three-year deal, it’s a great opportunity for him … so well done Cambo,” Karl told co-host Millsy on 6PR Breakfast.
