Burswood local Shaun shared the hilarious story that got him in ‘trouble’ with the RSPCA.

Neighbours had alerted the RSCPA of a cockatoo that was inside a cage outside of Shauns house, left in the heat without any water.

Shaun told 6PR Breakfast RSPCA apologised once they realised the cockatoo was fake.

“A few years ago I bought an ornamental cage that I hung on the tree and a few months ago I was walking around Bunnings and I saw a tin cockatoo – I thought it would be funny to be put it in the cage,” Shaun said.

Press PLAY to hear Shaun explain the hilarious incident

“Even the girl from RSPCA said I made her day – she said because we have some horrendous jobs sometimes but – seeing this bird in the cage made my week.”
