Star Dockers defender Luke Ryan has revealed key forward Rory Lobb was missing in action as the squad for Friday night’s crucial clash with Richmond in Melbourne prepared to fly out of Perth on Thursday morning.

In his regular segment on 6PR Breakfast, Ryan told Gareth Parker that he had yet to see Lobb – who suffered a shoulder scare last weekend and is the subject of trade speculation – at Perth Airport ahead of their flight early this morning.

“I don’t think [he’s on the plane]… I haven’t seen him yet to be honest, I only just got here. He might be rocking up any minute but if not, I don’t think he’s playing,” Ryan told Parker from the Virgin lounge at the airport.

Ryan also said the team had discussed how to combat the current ducking issue many small forwards are adopting in the AFL.
