‘Rogue Forces’ is the insiders story of how soldiers of Australia’s SAS squad crossed the line in Afghanistan.

The author Mark Wallacy exposed the war crimes committed by Australian soldiers and revealed one of our Nation’s darkest chapters in military history.

Mark Willacy told Liam Bartlett he didn’t realise the scope of the issue was going to be this big.

“The vast majority of the people who serve in SAS were incredibly professional, elite soldiers … honourable human beings but unfortunately this sort of cancerous malignant tumour got in,” he said.

“Pushing back were the good people but I have to say it took quite a few years between when the events happened in Afghanistan, mainly around 2012, 2013, by the time they decided they couldn’t live with this anymore.

“I got these videos in late 2019 and took a fair while going through them to try and understand what was going on.

“Doing the right thing is part of healing and there is still a long way to go.”
