Droughts, low rice crops and COVID-19 issues have lead to a possible shortage of Australian rice.
“We’re looking at a situation where Australian domestic rice will not be on supermarket shelves by the end of this calendar year,” Rob Massina from the Ricegrowers Association of Australia told 6PR Breakfast.
