Veteran journalist and television presenter Ray Martin is set to narrate a podcast about the 2002 Bali Bombings.

The four-part podcast, Operation Alliance: 2002 Bali bombings, is produced by the Australian Federal Police and is a tribute to the men and women of the AFP who responded to the events in Bali.

Martin told 6PR Breakfast host Gareth Parker that his work with the AFP highlighted the detail that went into the operation.

“There were 400 (police officers) back in Canberra who sifting through the scientific detail,” he said.

“Pieces of hair, DNA, fingerprints, all kinds of things to find the terrorist but also identify the Australians and other foreigners who were blown to smithereens.”

Press PLAY to hear about the podcast and Martin look back to that time.
