With the Perth Airport rail line slowly edging closer to completion, the realisation of the proposed schedule is starting to hit home.

Peak hour for flights out of Perth Airport occurs between 5am and 6am as FIFO workers come home or head back to work, but there are concerns the train schedule won’t suite the early travelers.

But WA Transport Minister, Rita Saffioti, says the schedule hasn’t been confirmed.

“The exact operating hours for the rail line haven’t yet been finalised. We’ve been concentrating on getting the project done,” Minister Saffioti, told 6PR Breakfast.

“We’re spending $1.8billion and I want to see as many people as possible; so if that means earlier operating hours… to get more people on the train, we will,” she said.
