Qantas is urging those with outstanding COVID-19 flight credits to use them before they expire.

The airline has more than $400 million worth for the credits, and has apparently made the responsible move of returning the money back to consumers.

Australian Federation of Travel Agents CEO Dean Long told Karl and Gena on 6PR Breakfast that on the face of it, it was an attempt to build more confidence in air travel.

“It should hopefully get better for Australian consumers today; it seems like a good announcement on first view,” Mr Long said.
