Almost a third of Australians lack an understanding of local extreme weather risks, an alarming new NRMA Insurance study has revealed.
NRMA insurance chief customer and marketing officer Michelle Klein told 6PR’s Jamie Burnett “almost half of us don’t know what steps to take to prepare for emergencies”.
In response, NRMA, in partnership with the Red Cross, has launched ‘Help Nation’ – a series of over 2000 workshops aimed at educating and preparing communities for weather-related emergencies.
