Stand-in 6PR Breakfast co-hosts Oliver Peterson and Jenna Clarke were left as livid as caller Charlie, after he was slugged a $5 fee for buying a Perth Royal Show ticket with cash yesterday.

The Beechboro pensioner says he and his wife don’t own a credit card and so couldn’t purchase tickets online.

“When we questioned it at the gate, the guy put his hand out and just pointed to the sign that said ‘$5 extra’,” he said.

Oly was incensed: “You shouldn’t be giving, pensioners in particular, a 25% surcharge just cos they want to pay with their hard-earned,” he said.
