Public transport fares to be slashed to 50 cents if SA opposition elected

The South Australian opposition has promised to introduce 50 cent fares for all metropolitan public transport if elected in March next year in order to provide cost-of-living relief for families and to reduce congestion on the roads.
Curtin University Professor of Sustainability Peter Newman spoke to 6PR Radio Perth Live presenter Oliver Peterson and said the public transport wars were “hotting up”.
