Property owners will be legally required to disclose the energy performance of their home before sale or rent under a new Federal government scheme.

Strategic Property Group Trent Fleskins told 6PR Breakfast hosts Millsy and Karl the proposed scheme was a “good idea”.

“Most homes probably wouldn’t reach a three or four star rating which is pretty poor in Western Australia,” Mr Fleskins said.
