Single-use plastic bags for loose fresh fruit and vegetables as well as disposable foodware will be banned from WA supermarkets next week.

BioPak chief executive Gary Smith spoke to 6PR Mornings host Gary Adshead and said we needed to get away from our “addiction” to fossil fuels and plastics.

“It’s probably going to impact 50 per cent of people because 50 per cent have already made the change,” Mr Smith said.
