An alliance of former prime ministers, premiers, sport, health and faith leaders have signed a letter calling on the Federal Government to ban gambling advertising within three years.

Alliance for Gambling Reform CEO Martin Thomas told Oly Peterson on Perth Live it’s gone too far in Australia.

“The problem is we have something like a million ads that we get bombarded with every year on TV and Radio alone,” says Thomas.

“It means that mums and dad’s are having to explain what a multi bet is.”
