Following a private inspection, Western Power have issued a local Karrinyup resident a defect notice to fix a power pole.

The power giant is forcing one resident to cough up more than $3000 to fix the pole on their property that he didn’t know was his responsibility to maintain… and he’s not the only one along his street.

Resident, Ron Van Ser Sluys, spoke with Oliver Peterson on 6PR’s Perth Live.

“I bought my house nearly eight yeas ago and I had no idea that I had a pole that was my responsibility to maintain,” he said.
