Postage prices to rise with Australia Post on life support
Australia Post’s chief executives have warned the national service is on the brink, with losses amounting to $189 million in just six months.
The ongoing crisis facing the 200-year-old institution will once again see job losses, branch closure and more expensive stamps.
Communications Workers Union National Secretary Greg Rayner told Gary Adshead on 6PR Mornings he was sure parcel deliveries and online services were still sustainable enough to prevent job losses.
“Post offices could and should be a one-stop government shop,” Mr Rayner said.
