Port Adelaide has taken advantage of Fremantle’s weakened side as the Dockers brought in some fresh players as the Power took out a 69-point win over the minor premiers to finish the season, 18.14(122) to 8.5(53).

Fremantle made 12 changes to their team after securing top spot on the AFL ladder ahead of the final home and away round and started with a strong three-goal lead at the first break, but the cracks started to show as the Power surged into the second term kicking eight goals while Fremantle were held scoreless during the quarter.

Port Adelaide continued to extend the lead as the game went on and Jay Shultz kicked four goals before he was subbed out and his teammate in Robbie Gray kicked three majors while Matt Taberner was the Dockers only multiple goal kicker with his two.

Ethan Hughes did well in his debut AFL game with 22 disposals, but Michael Barlow was almost back to his best with 35 disposals.
