Perth has received a timely promotional boost on the tourism front after travel highlights of the city were broadcast to a national audience last night.

Entertainment reporter Peter Ford told Gareth Parker on 6PR Breakfast there was great coverage of Perth in Wednesday night’s edition of Travel Guides on Nine (which owns 6PR Radio).

“I’m very keen to get on a plane and get over to Perth. Fantastic coverage. I would argue they enthused a lot of people to head west last night,” Ford said.

“It was great coverage, they didn’t go for the obvious things… and the show is a huge rater.”

The Travel Guides episode comes after The Project on Channel 10 recently recorded shows in Perth, in partnership with state tourism authorities, to highlight WA’s attractions.
