With summer approaching, there are concerns that some councils have fallen behind on pool inspections.

Rachel Murray from Royal Life Saving WA explained to 6PR’s Gary Adshead that pool safety is not just the responsibility of the council.

“While we know that children are most at risk of drowning at their own homes, a significant portion of drownings also occur at a family member’s home, a friend’s place, and sometimes even at neighbours’ properties,” she said.
