Australia’s latest COVID-19 restrictions towards people entering Australia from China have caused major controversy.

Government opposition believes the Federal Government’s restrictions are going against the Chief Medical Officer’s advice.

Shadow Health Minister Anne Ruston told 6PR Mornings the government needs to listen to the CMO’s advice.

“Tens of thousands of Australian lives were saved by the CMO’s advice,” said Shadow Minister Ruston.

“The advice of the CMO is based on the conditions in Australia now.”
