Police union want 1000 more officers

The WA Police Union is demanding that 1000 more officers be employed over the next four years.
The union has made the call at its annual conference.
The State Government warns that such an increase would cost around half-a-billion dollars.
But union Senior Vice President Brandon Shortland says the crime rate would be reduced.
He spoke with Adam Shand.
