In his fortnightly wrap-up of local issues with 6PR Mornings host Simon Beaumont, WA Police Commissioner Col Blanch discussed a series of alarming events – ranging from unruly youths locking down the Kelmscott Show to a 13-year-old driving without a licence and allegedly firing a semi-automatic rifle into a Gosnells home.

Press PLAY to hear Col Blanch discuss organised crime links to youth crime

Addressing the concerning rise in youth crime, Blanch said:

“Was this an isolated incident, was it a tasked incident to that 13-year-old? We’ve seen a lot of conversation come out of both the Australian Federal Police and the east coast policing agencies about what they call crime as a service, and that is organised crime utilising very young people to commit serious crimes”, Blanch said.
