Homicide Squad detectives are appealing to the public for help after the deaths of two people in Albany.

A 69-year-old woman was found dead in her Spencer Park home in early February, and a 50-year-old man known to her, who was found inside with life-threatening injuries, later died at Royal Perth Hospital.

Police Commissioner COL BLANCH spoke to 6PR Mornings host Simon Beaumont, urging residents to check their properties for a possible weapon.

“Look for something that could be used as an instrument to harm someone, or to hit someone,” he said
